The setting allows the volume control to be used as a standard non-impedance matching control. The setting also allows it to be used as a Multimatch control. This volume control provides a method of matching the minimum output impedance of an amplifier or receiver in addition to attenuating the volume. The built-in IR receiver will receive IR signal from a hand held remote control and directs the information to the audio/video equipment for operation from another room.
